After a few months of not having a permanent job, I went back to my hometown in Cagayan de Oro City or CdeO to visit my relatives. I also had a chance to visit
Iligan City. Because of the presence of more than 20 waterfalls, Iligan is a place in Lanao del Norte which is known as the
City of Majestic Waterfalls. It wasn't my first time to go there as I used to stay at my aunt's place when I was still in grade school during summer vacation. But I have not seen the place for a very long time.
There was no mall before and you can only find some popular shops round the corner when you go to the city center or what they call as '
ciudad'. However, the old buildings are still standing until today with lots of new business establishments around.
One of the most popular dining place in Iligan is
Tita Fannies Liempo and Chicken Haus. I was able to taste their liempo upon my cousin's suggestion. It was one of a kind!
Wish I can go back there someday with my partner to see the Tinago falls or the Maria Cristina Falls in person. They all look stunning in pictures below..
